     We Call Them Care Groups

Care Groups are groups of 8-12 people who meet regularly  at each other’s homes, usually every other week.  The purpose of Care Groups is to come together for Bible study, fellowship, laughter, sharing tears, sharing joy, and, of course, dessert!  We have found that our faith has grown as we study God’s Word and talk about it among friends and learn from other’s observations and experiences.  Members of Care Groups come from many different denominations and spiritual levels.  They simply have a desire to get to know other people and to grow in their faith. The mission statement of Risen Christ Care Groups states that Care Groups are a

SAFE PLACE TO GROW IN JESUS’ LOVE.”

Safe Place- A place where people are connected to each other in a loving, and caring atmosphere, in such a way that they can share their cares and their concerns, their joys and their sorrows and know they will be accepted.

To Grow- A place where people can actively pursue a life long spiritual union with Jesus through the study of the Bible, where they can experience the abundant life He promised at the deepest level, bring more people to know of His love, and be equipped to share His love with their world.

In Jesus' love A place where the unfailing and unconditional love of Jesus is central to our interactions, where people can experience His love through acceptance and love of one another, where people can be encouraged and supported in life, and where people can learn to share that love with others

That truly sums up our experience; we have felt safe in our friend’s homes, enjoying other’s company while we take time to grow in our faith and continue to commit our lives to Jesus.  If you wish to join a Care Group, please contact the church office, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
