Whether you are exploring God for the first time, or are a committed Christian wanting to go deeper in your faith, you are welcome at Risen Christ. Here you will find people from all walks of life, with one thing in common--Jesus!
Welcome to RCLC Risen Christ is no ordinary church. There is a point of differentiation about RCLC. We are intentional about “seeing marriages and families thrive with Jesus in the center.” That means, although we provide solid ministry to help people from all ages grow closer to Jesus, we go out of our way when it comes to marriages and families. We believe marriages and families are very different when God's love permeates all they do.
Our Vision Statement We of ** Reach out to our community with God's love, ** To provide a home for all, with a Christ- centered, ** In order to develop and equip fully devoted followers of Christ
What's a Lutheran? Risen Christ is a member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. We follow the teachings of Martin Luther, who, in the 16th century, returned the Church to the teachings of the Bible, most importantly in how we approach God. We are put right with God through believing that Jesus died on the cross for our forgiveness. We are "justified by grace through faith." We are conservative in our theology-we view the Bible as God's inerrant Word--but we are progressive in our practice. We go to great lengths to help people know how much God loves them. Worship at RCLC You will find two different styles of worship at RCLC.
Contemporary- 10:30. Our later service is a Contemporary Service. In this service we have a rockin' band leading us in singing contemporary Christian songs popular in today's culture. We strive to be creative in the use of video clips and drama, seeking to apply God's Word to real life situations in relevant and engaging ways.
Traditional 8:00. Early risers and time-sensitive worshipers may prefer our 8:00 am service. This worship flows between music, prayer, scripture and proclamation, as we enter together into God's presence. Utilizng our inspiring organ and following our hymnal in form and hymnody, the celebration of Christ's death and resurrection is always central to our worship, and the anchor of the service is the reading and proclamation of God’s Word.
