Community Lutheran is an outreach ministry in northeast Rochester, which provides hope to children and families living in the poorest section of the inner city.  The Community Center on Joseph Avenue offers an after school program, summer day camp, parenting skills training, career development counseling and emergency services for food, clothing and shelter.  Volunteers are needed in a variety of areas.

During special holidays, volunteers help in other ways providing Easter Baskets, serving meals at Thanksgiving and coordinating an "Angel Tree" at Christmas.
