For the Love of Haiti

Risen Christ is involved in Christian missions in Haiti.  Members have been to Haiti on several occasions to spread the gospel message, assist in the training of Christian leaders and work on various projects such as expansion of the orphanage in Les Cayes and building an irrigation system to provide safe drinking water.  Members and friends can support the people of Haiti by sponsoring a child at the orphanage (to provide for nutritional needs) or donating money to support the missionary work of Pastor Touloute in Les Cayes.

Recently, members of Risen Christ worked with Lutheran Church Charities to collect food, bedding, tools and medical supplies for the people of Haiti ravaged by the earthquake.  For a month, the worship center of Risen Christ became the temporary warehouse for all these goods.  Members contributed their time, money and their energies to help.  At the end of the month, the goods were packed onto a sea container and shipped to Haiti.
